FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
Q:
What is tax problem resolution?
A: Tax problem resolution is a process where we evaluate a taxpayer's
situation regarding a specific IRS tax matter, and develop a plan to resolve
the issue and negotiate with the IRS on a taxpayer's behalf to gain IRS
approval and resolution.
Q: How
do I know if I qualify for tax problem resolution?
A: Taxpayers who are tired of receiving IRS tax notices or phone
calls and who want to resolve the problem qualify for our services.
Q: The
IRS keeps calling and sending me letters. What can I do?
A: You could ignore the letters and the situation with the IRS
will most likely get worse. Or you can contact us for a free, initial
1/2 hour consultation to discuss options to assist you.
Q: Can
the IRS take my house and bank account?
A: In most instances, the IRS cannot gain title to your house to
satisfy a tax debt. The IRS can levy your bank account and require your
bank to deduct funds from your account to satisfy a tax debt.
Q: Could
I handle my IRS problems myself?
A: Yes you could - but wouldn't you want an experienced CPA who
understands the IRS tax law and who will negotiate on your behalf with
your best interests in mind? The IRS wants to collect as much tax as they
can in the fastest amount of time. Our focus is to save you as much tax
as possible, and allow you to spend your time each day doing what you
enjoy, instead of worrying about a tax matter or dealing with an IRS agent
who may not be willing to negotiate with you.
Q:
How do you charge for your services?
A: Our fees are based on the number of hours spent performing our
services at a rate of $160 per hour. We will attempt to keep our time
to a minimum and will ask for your assistance where applicable in order
to minimize our time. We may require a retainer to begin work on your
case, depending on the circumstances. For your convenience, we also accept
VISA, American Express and Mastercard.
Q: How
do I get started?
A: Call to schedule a free, initial 1/2 hour consultation. If we
find that you qualify for our services, we will begin work on your case
after receiving a retainer.
